UNDERSCORES: WALLSOCKET

PACKAGE DESIGN - GRUNGE - TYPOGRAPHY - EXPERIMENTAL

Inspired by multi-genre musician Underscores, I aimed to redesign her current
branding by exploring various physical and experimental possibilities of
design through a conceptual vinyl celebrating the third anniversary of her
second album, Wallsocket.

My process consisted of experimentation across multiple mediums, including
print production, scanning, 3D modeling, physical asset construction, and found photography. These elements were combined with expressive typography,
intense textures, and digitally made compositions to create a visual language
that demonstrates the possibilities of designing by hand and off the computer,
whilst matching the minimal chaos that we hear within the album.

The final result was a conceptual vinyl package that transforms Wallsocket into a visual experience on each side. By combining analog experimentation with digital production, the project demonstrates how physical processes can open up a new world of design for both the creator and viewer.
