musician project. My work for the project explores how the physical format of a cassette can become an extension of the album’s atmosphere and be pushed
beyond typical single-product packaging.
During my process, I developed a complete package system that was constructed
to be a layered experience, beginning with a vellum slipcover featuring printed typography and imagery tied to the album’s visual identity. Inside, a poster reveals
the track list and a QR code linking to video content, while a secondary box contains
a personalized card and one-of-one found photographs. The cassette itself was finished with custom front, back, and side labels, thus creating a package that
feels personal, tactile, and collectible.
The final result is a fully realized album package designed to feel like an object rather than simply a music product. Each layer reveals additional content and imagery, creating a sense of discovery while building a cohesive visual world
around the album.
